privacy policy

effective

The short version: decdn.org is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and tracks nothing. The long version is below.

This privacy policy explains how deCDN Labs, Inc. ("deCDN", "we", "us") handles personal data in connection with the website at decdn.org (the "Site"). It covers the Site only. It does not cover the deCDN protocol itself — an open, permissionless network operated by independent third parties — nor the separate documentation site at docs.decdn.org.

What we collect

Almost nothing. The Site is a static export served as plain files. It contains no account system, no login, no forms, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not set cookies and we do not use local storage to identify or follow you across visits.

The only ways your data reaches us are:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically records standard request metadata — such as IP address, user-agent, requested URL, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and operational reliability. This is processed by the provider on our behalf and is not used by us to build profiles or to identify individual visitors.
  • Email you send us. If you email [email protected] (or another address we publish), we receive whatever you choose to include: your email address, your name if you sign it, and the contents of your message. We use it only to read and reply.

Cookies and tracking

The Site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, pixels, fingerprint scripts, or cross-site trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page does not call out to a third-party font service.

How we use what little we have

We use the limited data above only to:

  • serve and secure the Site and keep it available;
  • diagnose problems and prevent abuse; and
  • respond to messages you send us.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it except with the service providers that help us run the Site (our host and our email provider), or where required by law.

Where data is processed

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Site or emailing us, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your own.

Retention

Hosting logs are retained for the limited period set by our provider, then rotated out. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our correspondence records, after which they are deleted on a routine basis.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, or to object to it. Because we hold so little, the practical scope is usually limited to correspondence you have sent us. To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children

The Site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
