terms of use
These terms govern this website. They do not govern the deCDN protocol — an open, permissionless network nobody operates on your behalf.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at decdn.org (the "Site"), operated by deCDN Labs, Inc. ("deCDN", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
What the Site is
The Site is an informational and documentation resource about the deCDN protocol. It is published for general information only. It is not the protocol, not a product or hosted service, and not an offer to enter into any agreement.
The deCDN protocol is open-source software and a permissionless network operated by independent third parties. We do not run the network, do not control the nodes on it, and are not a party to any transaction you conduct through it. Your use of the protocol is governed by the applicable open-source licenses and the smart contracts themselves — not by these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, or disrupt the Site or its underlying infrastructure;
- introduce malware, or use automated means to overload or impair the Site; or
- misrepresent your affiliation with deCDN or use our names, logos, or brand assets except as permitted by our press kit and brand guidelines.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content, design, and code of the Site are owned by or licensed to deCDN Labs, Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The deCDN protocol and its associated software are released under their own open-source licenses; those licenses, not these Terms, govern your rights to that code. Brand assets are provided under the terms described in our press kit. Trademarks and product names referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.
Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites and resources (for example, GitHub, docs.decdn.org, and social profiles). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.
No warranty
The Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it is current or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, deCDN Labs, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Site, whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless deCDN Labs, Inc. from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
Changes
We may modify these Terms or the Site at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the effective date above will be updated. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction.
